BERT

Bert's Story

Bert is a senior kitty that started hanging around our house. He already had a tipped ear, so we knew he had gone through TNR at some point in the past. We fed him every night; he knew when dinner time was and would thank us by sitting in our lap on the porch. Bert has warmed our hearts so much. Not knowing what Bert has gone through, he seemed to have lived on the streets for awhile; but he shows so much compassion and love. It has been a year since Bert showed up on our porch, he is definitely apart of our family. Bert has his own routine. He loves being outside, napping in the herb bed or garden, and hanging out with our chickens in the back yard.

EVAN

Evan's Story

Evan, and a very unique story: Evan showed up one day in our yard, so of course I put some food out. He let us pick him up, we knew he had got be somebody’s cat as he was a big beautiful maine coon. We took care of him for about a week, we got him into Dr. Cohen. Turns out he was already neutered and had a microchip. I got the microchip ID number and logged into the website and sent a message to the owner. A few hours later I got a call from Evan’s mom. Evan had been missing for three weeks from their house in Southwest Austin. Evan’s mom couldn’t believe that he turned up in Elgin, it is mind-boggling to think of the journey Evan had gone through to end up at my house. His family had given up on him since it had almost been a month without Evan. His mom and dad came to Elgin later that day to pick up Evan, they were so very happy to have their fur baby back.
